More Than A Coloring Book

Doodles, Squiggles and Scribbles

I really like these doodling/coloring books by Taro Gomi. It's not your typical coloring book. It engages children's imagination by allowing them to finish unfinished drawings, create their own drawings and other activities. These books are really thick so they give kids a lot of opportunity to occupy themselves. Available at Chronicle Books or at amazon.com.

Custom Wall Decal

I came across this wall decal from luxuryculture.com. You can transform your kid's drawing into a wall decal from e-glue. This is so much nicer than buying ready made wall stickers.

Chalkboard Tee-shirts

LMNOP is out with a new issue. There are a lot of great finds and brands from Australia and other parts of the world. I really like these fun tee-shirts (chalk included) from The Chalkboard Tee

Snapfish Photo Albums

For years I've been mounting and cropping photos on various types of albums. With less time, I noticed the photos piling up to an oblivion. I've always been hesitant in using photo album applications until a friend convinced me otherwise. He sent me a beautiful photo album that he composed with all sorts of layouts that would normally take much time and effort. I came across a similar tool on Snapfish. The program is really easy use with drag and drop functionality and very intuitive. Most of all there are lots of great layout options.

4 Toys in 1

This is the most versatile toy that I've seen. It is a jigsaw puzzle, puppets, stand alone figures and fridge magnets. The pieces are inter-changeable so you can create your own characters. It also comes with a booklet of a fairy tale re-told. Handmade from Fidoodle.
